This life-sized double-headed sculptural bust self-portrait, titled 'Tooth and Nail,' features detached arms secured with red thread. Weighing over 50 lbs, this piece is crafted using slipcast ceramics and showcases the artist's skill in both ceramic sculptures and wheelthrown ceramics. It resides permanently in the Garden of Good and Gooder in Savannah, Georgia.
Ceramic Sonny angels are delightful ceramic sculptures that feature colorful designs. These sculptures were press-molded for their face and torso, while their limbs and head adornments were expertly attached and sculpted. In this series, I created various slipcast ceramics, including an Apple, Strawberry, Lime, Flower, Bunny, Bear, and Fish. Notably, only the lime sculpture is glazed from head to toe, while the feet of the other babies remain unglazed, showcasing a blend of techniques, including wheelthrown ceramics.
